Dr.
John F. Hayes III, DC, DABCO is a cum laude
graduate of Sherman College of Chiropractic, a
four-year Doctor of Chiropractic program in
Spartanburg, South Carolina. He completed his
Chiropractic curriculum in Rhode Island. He served
as an intern at a large clinic in New Hampshire
and began a course of studies specializes in
Chiropractic Orthopedics with the National College
of Chiropractic in Illinois. He received
certification in orthopedics in 1986, and is a
Fellow of the American Academy Chiropractic
Orthopedics. He began private practice in
Portland, Maine in 1981. He was elected President
of the Maine Chiropractic Association in 1988 and
served in that capacity until 1991. He is a
postgraduate faculty member of the Palmer College
of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and instructs
postgraduate programs in the treatment of the
injured golfer and golf performance evaluations.
He was appointed by Governor McKernan in 1993 to
the Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He is a
member of the American Chiropractic Association,
Council on Chiropractic Orthopedics, and the Maine
Chiropractic Association. John and his wife have
three daughters and one son, Amber, Deryn, Alyssa,
and Johnny.
